The Printmaking Area underwent many curricular changes and studio revisions over the summer and is now the NEW AND IMPROVED- PRINTMEDIA AREA of the Gwen Frostic School of Art. You will notice the new signs in the hallway. We are offering new courses, a new studio layout, and plenty of print related activities for the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 Semesters. Here are some upcoming events:
- Visiting Artist, Jorge Pineda will be creating an edition of print in the printmedia area with the help of students the week of October 27th. Pineda will have a public lecture, Thursday, October 30 in Room #2008 of the Richmond Center for Visual Arts, 5:30 pm. *This event is free and open to the public
- The Printmedia Faculty, Assoc. Professor Nichole Maury and Professor Patricia Villalobos, will be traveling to the national Mid America Print Conference in Detroit, MI with 10 Printmedia students. Conference dates are Sept. 24-27.
- The Printmedia faculty and several Printmedia students will be participating in Artprize 2014 in Grand Rapids, MI. Their individual works will be on view at the WMU venue at 200 Ionia Avenue SW, Grand Rapids from Sept. 24-Oct. 12. There will be a reception on Saturday Sept. 27 from 5-7 pm. We hope you will join us there!
